¿Qué os parece la idea de las entrevistas/moodboards? Tengo una lista enooorme de gente a la que quiero hacerle una jiji. Tendré que ir poco a poco. Esta semana se lo dedico a Nuria Diaz. Seguro muchos ya conocéis sus ilustraciones. A mi me gustaba mucho su trabajo pero después de conocerla me gusta aun más. Algo pasa cuando conoces un poquito la historia de esa persona a quien admiras. Así que espero que os guste esta pequeña intro sobre su vida. Happy martes!

What do you think about the moodboard interviews?? I have a really long list of people I would love to do one for. I’ll have to take it slowly. This week I’m dedicating it to Nuria Diaz. Many of you already know her illustrations. I really liked her work but I love it even more since I’ve got to know her a bit. There’s something about knowing the story behind it all. A mi me suele gustar viajar con un mapa o algo para guiarme un poco porque si es la primera vez que visito una ciudad suelo tener pocos días y perderme por callecitas donde no hay nada que ver no me atrae del todo. No se trata de: a las 12 aquí, a las 12:30 allí y a la 1:00 allá, pero sí tener presente las calles más bonitas y las tiendecitas o cafés más chulos de la zona. Los chicos de Herb Lester Associates han creado estos mapas ilustrados para perdernos por las ciudades más importantes según lo que nos apetezca hacer. Da igual si es tu primera vez en NY o la quinta (qué suerte!), seguro te interesa cargar con uno de sus mapas. I like traveling with some sort of map/guide because when I visit a city for the first time I usually only have a few days there and I don’t enjoy getting lost around streets where there’s not much to see. It’s not about being super strict: 11:00 here, 12:00 there and 12:30 other there, but I do enjoy knowing where the prettiest streets, shops and cafe’s are. The guys from Herb Lester Associates have created these illustrated maps suited for any traveling mood. It really doesn’t matter if it’s your first time in NY or your fifth (lucky you!) I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy having one of these with you. Other titles include: “Brooklyn: 41 reason why“, “It’s Nice To Be Alone In Paris“, “Copenhagen: The Good Life“, and “Let Me Tell You About Madrid“. Miren que tienda de flores tan bonita os traigo hoy. Blomsterskuret, Cobertizo de Flores en danés, está ubicada en Copenhagen y su dueño Martin Reinicke es diseñador de arreglos florales y de cerámicas que fabrica de forma artesanal. Si yo tuviera un espacio para vender plantas y flores sería muy parecido a éste pues sobre todo me encanta la idea de que la tienda salga a la calle. Además, la fachada pintada de negro, los estantes de hierro, las cajas de madera y las cestas de mimbre creo que dan un look único a esta esquina de la ciudad. Lo añado a nuestra lista de “pendientes visitar” :) Happy lunes a todos!
/////// Just take a look at this pretty shop. Blomsterskuret, Flower Shed in Danish, is located in Copenhagen and its owner Martin Reinicke is a floral designer and potter. If I were to have a small place to sell plants and flowers it would probably be very similar to this one. I love shops that also sell on the street. The black façade with its iron shelves, wooden boxes and wicker baskets give a unique look to this city’s corner. I’ll add it to our “must go” when visiting Copenhagen. Happy Monday to all!
